Sports Information

Pratt Community College is a NJCAA Division I & II (Men's and Women's Soccer) school and member of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. The Beavers are covered by media outlets throughout the Pratt area, and media members regularly interact with PCC's coaches and student-athletes. The Pratt Sports Information office works closely with its choaches and athletes to faciliate these requests on a daily basis and in a timely fashion, and works to provide an array of media services to those who cover us. 

Media services provided by the Pratt Sports Information office include but are not limited to providing previews and game recaps for each of our 15 varsity programs, compiling and providing statistics, producing detailed game programs for every Beaver home event, generating game notes for select sports, and coordinating press conferences and interview requests. This office also creates and manages the content of Pratt's official athletics website www.gobeaversports.com which provides around-the-clock coverage of our 15 varsity programs, including news, notes, player and coach bios, statistics, and history, as well as up-to-date links to in-game live stats, video, audio feeds and photo galleries. The Pratt Sports Information office also supports multiple social media outlets, providing real-time coverage.

General Information:

Location: The Pratt Sports Information office is located in the Dennis Lesh Sports Arena, in the athletics suite (52) and in the first office (A) on the left. 

Website: Pratt's offical athletics website, www.gobeaversports.com, provides the most up-to-date scores, news and information on all of PCC's 15 varsity programs.

Policies & Procedures:

Press & Photographer Credentialing Policy: Pratt Community College welcomes coverage of all its home sporting events from accredited writers, photographers and broadcast media outlets. All requests for working press, photo and/or broadcast credentials should be submitted to the Sports Information Director at least 48 hours before the contest. Press and photographer media credentials will be issued to members of the working media only. Requests for the credentialing of offical team photographers not associated with a specific media outlet must be made by the visiting team's sports information director without exception. Pratt Community College reserves the right to deny any requests that do not adhere to this policy. 

Coach and Student-Athlete Interviews: All interview requests for any member of the Pratt Community College athletic staff or any of its student-athletes must be made through the Sports Information office. Contact information for the PCC sports information staff is provided above. Please allow 24 hours for response to each request, though the the Sports Information office handles each inquiry as quickly as possible. All forms of media should also provide 48 hours of advanced notice when possible for all interview requests to allow the sports information staff to arrange a time that will respect each student-athlete's academic and competition schedules. At no time will the home or cell phone number of a student-athlete be released to the media, and we ask all media outlets to respect this policy and the privacy of our athletes and coaches. In case of telephone interview requests, the Sports Information staff will arrange for the student-athlete to contact the requesting media member. 

Postgame Interviews: Pratt Community College's locker rooms are closed to the media. A 5-minute cooling off period will be strickly enforeced, after which the PCC head coach and any requested players will be made available. 

Press Row Services: The Pratt Community College Sports Information office will provide a game program, pregame statistics and game notes prior to each contest. A full boxscore, play-by-play and other applicable game material will be distributed at halftime and at the end of the game. 

Radio and Television: Radio and television stations wishing to broadcast Pratt Community College home events must make arrangemetns with the Sports Information office at least two weeks prior to the requested contest. 

Logo Usage: All Pratt Community College athletic logos may only be used for athletic purposes. The "Beaver Head" logo is the official primary logo for Pratt Community College. Logos are NOT to be edited with out prior consent from the Sports Information office. High resolution logos may be requested by contacting the Sports Information office.
