PCC women's soccer drops season opener to Rose State

The Pratt Community College women's soccer team started the 2017 season in Midwest City, OK against Rose State College. The Blue and White battled hard, but an early and late flurry by Rose State ended the hopes of an opening game victory. PCC falls 0-7.

Rose State's Stephanie Wainscott led the game off with a pair of goals in the opening 10 minutes of the match. The defense for Pratt then stepped up and provided a stifling resistance to the Rose State offense. PCC goalie Brittany Smith faced shot after shot coming away with 21 saves on 36 shots in the match.

PCC women's soccer returns to campus for their home opener on Aug. 27 against Coffeyville Community College. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
