PCC women's soccer battles Northwest Tech

Pratt Community College women's soccer returned home for a match against Northwest Kansas Tech. The Beavers showed a stifling defense and used offensive pressure against Northwest Tech. However, a scoring burst by Northwest Tech in the second half provided the downfall of the Blue and White. PCC falls to Northwest Tech 0-4.

The Beavers and Northwest Tech held a scoring deadlock through most of the first half with both teams showing strong defense. Northwest Tech's Adrijane Felix Cesar broke the deadlock with a goal in the final minute of the first half.

PCC increased the offensive attack with Cala Jamison, Avery Villines and Ryann Giggey leading the attack. Jamison struck a pair of corners that were defended away from the goal. Villines led the Blue and White with two shots on goal. Giggey added a shot of her own.

Northwest Tech continued to put offensive pressure on the Beaver defense. Pratt goalkeeper Brittany Smith faced shot after shot, coming away with 16 saves in the match. A scoring rush from Northwest Tech's Marina Lopez De Call and Cesar between the 65 and 70 minute mark of the match sealed the win for Northwest Tech.
