PCC softball falls to NOC-Enid

Pratt Community College softball hit the midpoint of their six game weekend. The Beavers traveled to NOC-Enid for a double header against the Jets. Pratt ran into a hard hitting NOC-Enid team that could not be matched. PCC drops two games going 0-2 in the double header.

Game 1 saw NOC-Enid take an early lead in the first inning. The Blue and White tied things up in the top of the second for a 1-1 tie, but NOC-Enid retook the lead in the bottom half of the inning. Pratt bats went cold as the NOC-Enid defense held and their offense extended the lead. PCC falls in the first game 1-9.

A tandem of PCC batters battled for the Beavers in Game 1. Monica Courville and Michelle Castillo both went one for two at the plate. Lyndsey Loomis also went one for two and accounted for the lone Pratt score in the game.

In Game 2, NOC-Enid claimed the lead early. Pratt tried to come back with a run in the fourth inning, but the lead was too great. PCC loses Game 2 1-7.

Courville, Castillo, and Loomis led the way again in Game 2. All three batters were one for three at the plate. Courville scored the lone run and was batted in by Castillo.

PCC softball closes out the six game weekend with a return home to Angood Field for a double header against North Iowa Area Community College. First pitch is at 1 p.m.
