Brittany Smith signs with University of the Ozarks

Goalkeeper Brittany Smith has signed to continue her playing and academic career once her time at Pratt Community College comes to an end. Smith has signed with University of the Ozarks for the 2018-19 season.

Smith anchored the Beaver defense between the pipes for the past two seasons. This year Smith was selected as the KJCCC goalkeeper of the week during week five of the season. Over the course of the week, she had four saves on four shots and ensured Pratt's 4-0 shutout victory at Garden City Community College. Smith ended the 2017 season with 237 saves in net. For her career, Smith totaled 416 saves.

"It's a bittersweet moment," said Ashley Burnett head women's soccer coach at PCC. "Brittany (Smith) has been a great asset for the women's soccer program. She excels both on the field and in the classroom. Her hard work and dedication has got her far, and I am excited to watch her continue to grow in her next chapter in life. I wish Brittany all the best!"
