In spite of some uncooperative weather conditions, the Pratt Community College track and field team has had an outstanding year, with almost 20 athletes preparing for nationals.
"It hasn't been the easiest of season," said head coach Jamaal Barnes. "We have battled through some tough weather conditions and some injuries but we have been able to compete at a very high level."
Jevony Murray has been an anchor for the Beavers this year, qualifying in the 100, 200 and 4x100 relay. According to coach Barnes, he is currently ranked 30th in all-divisions in the 200 meter.
