The Pratt Community College men's basketball team continued their domination of non-conference opponents with a matchup against OnPoint Hoops Academy. The game marks the second preparatory academy that the Beavers have faced off against in the 2018-19 season and their fifth overall non-conference matchup on the year. The Beavers remained undefeated after cruising to an 86-56 victory against OnPoint.

Pratt put the game away early by opening the floodgates and going on an unchecked 18-0 run. The Beavers forced two OnPoint timeouts within the first five minutes of the game. The academy did not manage to score a single bucket until the 14:59 mark of the first period. The blue and white came away at the end of the first half 40-22.

A slightly closer contest ensued during the final 20-minute period. Pratt still outscored their foe 46-34 in the second half. One key difference between the two parties was turnovers. PCC came up with 11 steals to help give themselves extra looks. OnPoint as a unit gave up 26 turnovers. This resulted in the shot difference in game. The Beavers took 85 shots compared to OnPoint's 63.

The Beavers are now four games away from their first conference competition. They will be challenged by two more junior varsity teams at home before going on the road for their first taste of action against a 2-year college.

PCC men's basketball will hit the court next against Bethel College Junior Varsity on Nov. 15. The Beavers will take on the Threshers at 8 p.m.
