The Pratt Community College men's basketball team wrapped up a 7-game home stand with a contest against Bethany College Junior Varsity. The game served as the last of competition against junior varsity teams in the 2018-19 season. The Beavers came out with a win against the Swedes 94-54 to improve to 7-0 on the year.

Averaging 99.6 points per game, Pratt continued to put on a show for fans of the Beaver Nation with large chunks of scoring that put Bethany at a deficit early. The first signs of a blue and white win came after the Beavers began an early first-half run that put 17-0 on the scoreboard. Pratt scored more points in the first five minutes of play than the Swedes did the entire first period. At the end of the first 20 minutes Pratt led 54-16.

The game's leading scorer was none other than Beaver guard Blake Furcron (21 points). Furcron was also the aggressor on the boards. He gathered 18 rebounds for his third double-double in seven games. A lights out 8-of-13 shooting from the field by the sophomore helped Pratt keep in good standing the entire contest.

Furcron was not alone in his efforts; six different Beavers, including Furcron scored in double-figures. 4-of-5 starters from Pratt scored 13 or more points on route to the win. Guard Drew Maschoff played only 17 minutes and managed to produce 14 points on 50 percent shooting. Fellow guard Tyvon Taylor came off the bench and provided an extra spark for his team with 16 points that was only bested by Furcron's performance.

Through the first seven games of 2018, Pratt remains undefeated and are now outscoring the competition by an average of 39 points. The Beavers have hardly come close to a loss thus far. PCC will looks to continue their domination of non-conference opponents when they compete next at the T-Bird Thanksgiving Classic hosted by Cloud County Community College.

PCC men's basketball will tipoff next against Iowa Western Community College on Nov. 23. in Concordia, Kan. The game will start at 5 p.m.
