PCC men's basketball falls at home to No. 4 Coffeyville

Pratt Community College men's basketball wrapped up a 2-game home stand in the Dennis Lesh Sports Arena by hosting the No. 4 ranked team in the country, Coffeyville Community College. Home court advantage was not enough to upset the Red Ravens. Coffeyville went on to take the victory over the Beavers, 75-56.

An unusually low 27 percent team field goal percentage hindered the Beavers' offensive production. PCC was able to uphold numbers in many areas of the box score. Per usual, Pratt outrebounded their opponent 47-41 and were efficient on the offensive glass by collecting 19 boards for a second chance.

Rebounding gave the Beavers several more scoring opportunities in an attempt to regain a winning score. Pratt out-shot the Ravens 68-61 in terms of total field goals but were unable to convert a majority of them into scores.

PCC men's basketball will look to gain new ground in their next conference contest against Independence Community College in their last game before the Winter break. The Beavers will travel to take on the Pirates on Dec. 12 at 8 p.m.
