For the second time this year, the Pratt Community College men's basketball team took down Cloud County Community College. The Beavers won the first round, postseason game 68-56 to extend their season.
The Beavers gave up a plus four advantage on the board, but shot almost 20 percent better from the field. That shooting difference allowed them to jump out to a 32-25 halftime lead. Cloud shot better from the field the second half, but Pratt's nine threes in the game pushed them over the top with a 36-31 second half.
Teddy Fifer III led Pratt to the 68-56 win over the Thunderbirds. He finished the night with 20 points, five rebounds and four steals. Blake Furcron added 17 points and nine rebounds and Tyvon Taylor finished with 12 points, seven assists and four rebounds.
