Kueth, Eziukwu lead Beavers to first home win

PRATT, Kans.- Making their 2019-20 home debut, the Beavers didn't disappoint the Pratt faithful, trouncing the Coyotes 87-61. 

Sophomore Zool Kueth led the game in scoring, posting 25 points and 12 rebounds. The rangy 6'7 foward finished 8-15 from the field, including 4-6 from the three point line. He was also 5-6 from the free thow line. Not to be outdone, freshman big fella Julian Eziukwu imposed his underneath the rim, as his 14-14 double was the result of an efficient six of seven shooting. Five of his 14 rebounds came on the offensive end of the floor. 

Redshirt sophomore Jamel Horton was a renassiance man for Pratt, scoring 16 points to with six rebounds, two assists and three steals in 23 minutes. Freshmen Tommy Thomas and Mahamdou Nimaga were among the other Beavers to end the night in double figures, scoring 12 and 11 points respectively.

It was a tale of two halves for the Beavers, as a stingy Coyotes team exited the first half down only 27-18, forcing 10 Pratt turnovers. The Beavers shot 36 percent in the first 20 minutes, and were only 2-10 from the beyond the arc. Coach Sean Flynn's halftime adjustments proved to be fruitful, as his bunch turned the basketball over only twice, while shooting 54 percent in the second half (21-39) and connected on 45 percent of their three-point attempts (8-18).
