Men’s soccer faces Dodge City in conference rematch

The Pratt Community College men's soccer team faced off against Dodge City Community College for the second match this season. Dodge City hosted the Beavers this time around. The match finished with the same result as the last time the two teams met. Dodge City pulled out a win against Pratt 2-0.

Dodge City netted a single goal each half that led to the Beavers' downfall. The first score of the game came in the thirty-sixth minute. The Conquistadors put up another at the forty-eighth minute mark just after the second half kicked off.

Pratt posted three shots in the contest. Every shot was a scoring chance, but none of them turned out to be a goal. Dodge outshot the Beavers by taking 16 shots. The Beaver defense only allowed six of the shots by Dodge to be on target.

PCC now holds down the fifth place spot in the conference standings. They will face a conference opponent five more times this year. Three of the conference matches will be hosted by the Beavers. Pratt holds a positive 3-2 record at home. One of the two losses at home comes from the initial match with Dodge City earlier in the year.

PCC men's soccer will host their next home match on Oct. 3. The game will be a conference match against Garden City Community College. The start time is 4 p.m.
