D'Aulerio leads Pratt in season sweep of Hesston

The Pratt Community College men's soccer team battled Hesston College for the second and final time this season. The Beavers went on the road to take on the larks for a late evening matchup in Hesston, Kan. The trip for the Beavers was well worth it as they defeated Hesston 4-0.

Every score in the game was put on the board by forward Francesco D'Aulerio. The sophomore, who serves as the captain of his team, proved his worth with four remarkable goals.

In the first half alone D'Aulerio earned a hat trick. The Italian Native continued to score by posting a goal in the second half to secure the victory.

D'Aulerio was assisted on all four of his scoring endeavors. He combined with fellow midfielder Andrea Migliozzi for a single goal. Also assisting were midfielders Uriel Argumedo-Contreras and Carlos Reyna. Even the back line contributed to D'Aulerio. Defender Scott Clark gave a ball to his teammate for a score during the 90-minute contest.

A physical and fast-paced back line kept Hesston at bay on their home turf. The larks only managed to put up three shots, all of which were saved by goalkeeper Clayton Scott.

The win puts Pratt a single victory away from locking down a spot in the postseason. Currently ranked fifth in the KJCCC standings, PCC needs to win their last regular season contest to participate in the playoff bracket. The Beavers are ranked a single game lower than Garden City Community College, who would be knocked out if Pratt managed to win one more time.

PCC men's soccer will fight for the playoff spot in their last game of the year against Northwest Technical College. The Beavers and Mavericks have reached a final reschedule date and will face off on Oct. 22. Due to harsh field conditions, the game will take place in Hays, Kan. Kickoff time is set for 7 p.m.
