Softballs goes 0-5 on the road

The Lady Beaver softball team continued to struggle, dropping all four games of a two-day series against North Central Texas College.

Game one ended in five innings, with Pratt giving up five innings in the first and nine more in the second. R Bennett scored the Beavers only run in the third. NCTC took game one 18-1.

The nightcap also ended in five innings. Pratt gave up four runs in the first inning and two runs in the third and fourth. They lost game two 8-0.

Saturday, Pratt went the distance against the Lions but only managed one run in two games. In game three, the Lady Beavers fell 9-1. NCTC picked up the sweep, winning game four 9-0.

Pratt also played Indian Hills Community College while at North Central Texas. This game was much more competitive with Pratt going up 2-0 in the first inning. The Warriors took the lead in the second with a 5-0 inning. They would continue to roll past Pratt scoring two runs in the remaining four innings. The Lady Beavers scored a single run in the third and two more in the fifth.

The Warriors won the game 13-5. Pratt finished the night with ten hits and no errors. Chavez led the scoring with two runs. Lexi Sanborn finished the night with one run on two hits and three RBI's.

The Lady Beavers will continue their road run with a doubleheader against Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa this Friday.
