The Pratt Community College softball team continue their early season struggles, picking up two more losses last Friday before dropping a double-header to Colby Monday.
The Lady Beavers went into Friday's double-header against Independence winless on the season. They gave up three runs in the second and third inning. Independence ended the game early with a 7-1 win. Pratt's only run came in the top of the third.
A rough first inning in game two put Pratt down 3-0. The Lady Beavers rallied late in the game, scoring two runs in the seventh and final inning, but it was not enough to topple Independence. The 3-2 loss pushed their losing streak to 21.
Pratt continued their road woes against Colby Community College Monday. The Lady Beavers lost the first game 6-3 and the second game 9-1.
Several games have been cancelled this week due to the weather and field conditions.
