Pratt, Kan- Pratt Community College (PCC) has found their next Director of Cross Country, Track & Field in Mathew Scott. Coach Scott comes to Beaver Nation from Ottawa University (OU) where he served as an assistant coach in the Braves track and field program.

During his time at OU he coached several athletes who set numerous school indoor records. In addition, he had two Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) indoor meet records broken, two KCAC individual champions, four National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) indoor track and field qualifiers, 21 student-athletes earned All-KCAC honors and two NAIA indoor all-Americans.
Prior to his time at OU, coach Scott spent one season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the track and cross-country program at Alderson Broaddus University (AB) in West Virginia. He has been a coach, educator, and administrator during the past 10 years and began his career at Aberdeen Christian School in South Dakota. Other stops include Ipswich Public School, Wakpala Public School, and Modbrige-Pollock Public School all-in South Dakota.

The indoor track & field season kicked off last Saturday at the All-Kansas Invite at Washburn University. The team will be back in action this Sunday at the NJCAA Region IV Showcase at Pittsburgh State University.
