After giving up a second half lead last weekend, the Pratt Community College women's basketball team ended a three-gaming losing streak with the home win over Garden City Community College. The conference win over the Broncbusters puts the Lady Beavers at 10-8 in the Jayhawk Community College Conference.

Pratt opened the game on a 9-1 run and would end the first quarter up 12-7. Both teams shot poorly from the field in the second, scoring seven points in the quarter. The Lady Beavers went into the break up 19-14.

Scoring picked up in the third with George, Cleveland and Tippins leading Pratt to a 19-point quarter. They went into the final quarter with a 38-26 lead.

The momentum carried into the fourth for Pratt and the Broncbusters continued to struggle shooting the ball. A 20-2 run by the Lady Beavers put them up by 25. Garden City only scored eight points in the as Pratt would pick up a 56-34 win to sweep the season series.
