Beavers Drop First Conference Game Against Seward County

Pratt, Kan. - The Pratt Community College Beavers opened up conference play earlier tonight, November 16 against the Seward County Community College Saints. The Beavers entered the game 4-0 coming off of Monday night's win against McPherson College. The Saints had lost both of their non-conference games entering the contest. 

The Beavers wasted no time getting after it leading after quarter one 18-14. The game would be tied three different times in the second quarter as the Saints were able to pull ahead for a 44-34 halftime lead. Pratt was never able to tie the game back up and was down after three quarters 66-48. Seward rolled to a twenty-point victory 87-67 for their first victory of the season. 

Freshman Takiera Boudreaux lead the way with 15 points while both Macy Hanzlick and Princess Anderson had 14 points in the game. Isis Sanders with 12 points and Emily Acton with 10 points rounded out the Beavers in double digits. Hanzlick ended the night with a double-double leading the team with 11 rebounds. 

Pratt will look to bounce back this Saturday afternoon on the road against Northwest Tech. The Mavericks lost on the road at Cloud County tonight 77-35.
