Beavers Stay Competitive in Beaver Dome Against Seward County

Pratt, Kan. - The Pratt Community College Beavers faced the #12 Seward County Saints tonight, September 21 in front of a crowded Beaver Dome. Pratt has never dropped a single digit set while playing in the Beaver Dome this season. The Saints wasted no time jumping ahead in the first set and held on to win 25-12 which would be their largest winning margin of the night.

The Beavers fought back in the second set, but eventually dropped set two 25-16. In the third set, the Beavers felt they had somethig prove as they took the set and the match down to the wire with taking a 24-23 lead. The Saints were able to tie it up 24-24 and eventually pulled away 26-24 to win the match 3-0. 

Pratt will take a break from conference opponents as they travel to Coffeyville, KS on Friday, September 23 to take on the Red Ravens at 1:00 pm followed by Ottawa University (JV) at 3:00 pm. They return to conference action, on the road, next Monday night, September 26 to take on the T-Birds of Cloud County. 

The Beavers do not return home until September 29 when they host both Bethany College (JV) and Fort Scott Community College for a triangular. They will play Bethel at 2:00 pm and Fort Scott in the night cap at 6:00 pm.
