PRATT, Kan.- On Wednesdsay, Joel Pearson, director of track & field and cross country at Pratt Community College, submitted his resignation to the school after serving at the helm since August of 2020.
“We wish Coach Pearson well in his next opportunity. He did a great job here in his short time,” said athletic director Tim Swartzendruber. “We have a great track facility and believe we can build a top notch program.”
This season the cross country team finished 20th in the nation at the NJCAA Cross Country Nationals and 12th in the nation at the NJCAA Half Marathon Nationals. During his time here members of his team broke multiple school records and finished in the top 10 at meets all over the midwest.
The school will conduct an immediate search in order to target a suitable replacement.
