Coach Quintin Powell enters his first year as the Head Track & Field, Assistant Cross Country Coach at Pratt Community College.

Coach Powell is a native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and graduated from Westmoore High School. He competed in Track & Field for the Jaguars, breaking school records in the 4x1, 4x2, 4x4, and 400. After graduation, Quintin attended Saint Gregory’s University in Shawnee, Oklahoma on an athletic scholarship. While with the Cavaliers, Coach Powell was a 2 x NAIA National Qualifier in the 200 and 400. His 200 time is still the school record in 21.36. Quintin transferred to Rogers State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. While at RSU Hillcats, he was a 2 x NCAA DII All-American in the 400m and the 4x100m relay and set School records in 4x1, 4x4, 400.

Coach Powell started his coaching career at Coffeyville Community College. During his tenure with the Red Ravens, Quintin helped coached 13 All- Americans, the 2021 National 4x100 Champions, and Nolton ShelVin to qualify for the 2020 US Olympic Trials in the 100.

Quintin resides in Pratt, Kansas and holds personal bests in 21.36 (200) and 47.1 (400)
