Cheer qualifies for NCA Nationals

PRATT, Kan.- The Pratt Community College cheerleading team will join cheerleaders from across the country to compete at the NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance National Championship this spring in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Teams will gather in Daytona Beach to compete against the nation's top universities in hopes of winning the title of NCA Collegiate National Champion and taking home the coveted golden megaphone trophy. The Beavers cheer team will
compete and demonstrate their athleticism, talent and hard work on the competition floor.

"When I said this team was not just talented, but motivated and hardworking, I meant it," said head coach Shae Napier. "PCC cheer has only competed nationally one other time in the school's history, which was back in 2012. This year's team is not just excited, but honored to be returning Pratt Community College to the mat at NCA College Nationals this upcoming spring. We have a lot to look forward to this semester and next despite the current circumstances and I'm so honored to be coaching this group of athletes this year. They have shown unwavering dedication, selflessness and unity not just in the face of being evaluated at camp for their nationals bid, but in every facet of life on and off the mat this year."

Napier and her team will perform oceanside on the Bandshell in front of hundreds of fans for this once in a lifetime experience. Teams will be able to enjoy sunny Daytona Beach, Florida and have the opportunity to meet other athletes from universities across the nation.
