Pratt, Kan. - The Pratt Community College Beavers hosted the Larks of Hesston College on October 1 at the Pratt Soccer Complex. On what was sophomore day, the Beavers wasted no time taking a quick 3-0 lead and held onto it for the remainder of the game. Sophomores Joao Neves Santos and Rory O'Connor as well as freshman Gustavo Dias Juliani scored in the afternoon's match in front of a packed crowd. Both starting keeper Brandon Bumgarner and sophomore keeper Julian Layne were able to keep a clean sheet.

This year's group of sophomores were recognized before the start of the game. The Beavers advanced to 4-3-2 and 2-2 in conference play. This was back-to-back home conference wins for Pratt after defeating Central Community College-Columbus 3-2 last Saturday, September 24. The team will travel to Beatrice, NE on Wednesday, October 5 to face the Southeast Storm. The Storm defeated the Beavers 4-2 earlier this season in Pratt.
