Softball Looks to Build off Conference Win at Garden City

Pratt, KS – The Pratt Community College (PCC) softball team is back in action today, April 20 in Garden City, KS taking on the Broncbusters of Garden City Community College (GCCC). First pitch of the two-game series is scheduled for 2:00 PM.  

  1. Last Time Out: The Pratt Community College (PCC) Beavers hosted the Northwest Kansas Technical College (NWKTC) Mavericks at the Green Sports Complex on Wednesday, April 13. The Beavers played away from Angood Field for the second time this season due to weather conditions. Northwest Tech entered the afternoon with only two conference wins coming against Pratt. The Mavericks won game one with a one run advantage 12-11. The Beavers picked up their first conference win in game two with a score of 13-1.
  2. First Conference Win: The Beavers have picked up their first conference win against the Northwest Tech Mavericks last Wednesday, April 13. They are still two games back from the Mavericks in the Jayhawk West standings. The Broncbusters are currently third to last with 10 conference wins.
  3. Wilson Takes Charge: Freshman catcher Miranda Wilson has continued her dominance at the plate this month. Against Northwest Tech Wilson hit a three-run homer in the third inning of game two. In the second inning of that game she knocked home several runs off a triple.
  4. Last Time Against Broncbusters: Garden City visited Angood Field way back on March 16 for a two-game series. In game one, the Beavers lost 15-4 in six innings and in game two lost 19-0 in five innings.
  5. Up Next: The Beavers will return home on Saturday, April 23 to face the Seward County Saints. First pitch is scheduled at 12:00 pm.
