Beavers Remain Undefeated in Conference Play

Pratt, Kan. - The Pratt Community College Beavers hosted the Hesston College Larks for Sophomore Day on October 1st. The Beavers wasted no time going up 2-0 within the first two minutes of the game. The Beavers added four more goals to take a 6-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, the Beavers were held scoreless but also held the Larks scoreless to win 6-0. Pratt is 4-0 in the conference and 7-1-1 overall. 

Freshman Ashlynn Kurtz had a hat trick (3 goals) in the game. Freshman Faye Butterworth and sophomores Whitney Young and Natalia Richartz added a goal on the afternoon. Richartz also had an assist during the game. 

"It feels really good and I'm glad I have the support system I do of my team and I wouldn't be where I am right now without them," said Richartz. "I couldn't be more grateful."

After the game, the team recognized the eight sophomores for sophomore day. The team will travel to Southeast Community College in Beatrice, NE on Wednesday, October 5. Match begins at 2:00 pm. 

"I am excited for our team to continue to win and I believe we are going to finish this season undefeated and I am excited to do it with them," said Richartz.
