Pratt Announces 2022 Cross Country Schedule

Pratt, Kan. – Pratt Community College (PCC) and the Director of Cross Country, Track and Field Mathew Scott are excited to announce the 2022 Cross Country schedule. The team will compete in seven meets this coming fall.

The Beavers will open their season like year’s past at the Terry Masterson Twilight Classic on September 1 in Hutchinson, KS. Races will start at 8:30 pm.

The team will compete in two more meets to round out the month of September. On Saturday, September 17 they will travel to Bethel, KS for the Muthama-Rogers Cross Country Invitational. Races are scheduled to begin at 10:00 am. Finally, they will take their yearly trip to the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, AR on September 30.

On October 15, the Beavers will travel to Colby, KS for the Colby Community College (CCC) Cross Country Meet with races starting at 10:00 am. Hutchinson Community College (HCC) will host the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region VI Cross Country Championships on October 28. Races are set to begin at 10:00 am.

In November, the Beavers will travel to Tallahassee, FL to finish their season at both the NJCAA Cross Country Championships on November 12 and the NJCAA Half Marathon Championships set for November 15.

Only two athletes are returning from last season’s roster, but the team will add depth from two distance runners who competed in the spring track season. The team finished 20 at the national meet and 12 in the half marathon with both meets taking place in Richmond, VA.
