Chris Jefferson is an experienced basketball coach hailing from New Albany, IN and Louisville, KY. With over 20 years of coaching under his belt, he has primarily focused his career in the Louisville and Southern Indiana area. Jefferson has 10+ years of experience as an assistant coach and 9 years as a Head coach.

Most recently, Jefferson served as the varsity assistant coach at Christian Academy of Louisville, where the team finished the season with an impressive record of 20 wins and 10 losses. They not only won the district championship but also secured the 2A State Championship in Kentucky.

Prior to his time at Christian Academy, Jefferson was the Head Girls' Basketball Coach at Oldham County High School from 2015 to 2018. During the 2017-2018 season, his team achieved a remarkable 22 wins, the highest number of wins for the girls' basketball program in over 20 years. They also won the District championship and made it to the final four of the regional tournament.

Before his tenure at Oldham County, Jefferson spent five seasons as the varsity assistant at Butler High School in Louisville, KY. Under his guidance, the teams achieved multiple District and Regional Championships and competed at the State Tournament level.

Jefferson considers himself fortunate to have worked alongside numerous talented coaches throughout his career, many of whom he still considers his closest friends and mentors. He is grateful to Coach Rodewald for giving him the opportunity to join the Pratt Community College women's basketball coaching staff and is eagerly looking forward to this new chapter.

In addition to his role as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach, Jefferson will also be living on campus and working as a Residential Supervisor.
