The Beaver softball team is set to host the Northwest Tech Mavericks on March 8. The first pitch is set for 2:00 pm for the double header at Angood Field. The Beavers enter tomorrow's contest off two losses at home against Barton. In game two, the Beavers built a four-run lead through the first three innings. In the fourth inning, the Cougars tied the game up and ended up scoring a run in the fifth, sixth, and seventh inning to win the game 7-4.
Pratt also faced Butler County on the road last week. The team lost both games but were competitive in game one, only losing 7-1. Northwest Tech enters tomorrow's series sitting 0-8 overall with losing conference series against Cloud, Dodge City, and Garden City. Heavan Carreon leads the team with a .385 batting average with five hits including a double, one RBI, and two stolen bases.
The team will travel to Cowley on March 10 before hosting Dodge City at Angood Field on March 11.
