PCC women's basketball drops close game to Dodge City CC

After a postponed game on Wednesday, the Pratt Community College women's basketball team returned to action hosting Dodge City Community College. After a scoring drought in the second period, the Beavers scrapped together and mounted a comeback in the second half. In the final minute of play, the comeback came up short. PCC drops a heartbreaker to Dodge City 54-59.

Post play came through for the Blue and White against Dodge City. Tianna Tullis led the way for the Beavers with add double-double of 16 points, 12 rebounds, an assist and a block. Dakota Smith followed with a 12 point, nine rebound game with an assist, a block and a steal. Player of the game goes to Dodge City's Alec Fitts with 18 points and eight rebounds.

PCC women's basketball has a three game week ahead of them with the rescheduled road game against Independence Community College on Jan. 22. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
