PCC women's basketball drops close game to Colby CC

The Pratt Community College women's basketball team hit the road to face Colby Community College. Scoring droughts by the Beavers in the first and third periods proved too much to overcome in spite of outscoring Colby in the second and fourth periods. PCC drops a close one to Colby 47-54.

Dakota Smith led the Blue and White in rebounding with eight rebounds. She also finished the game with six points and a block. Jada Catlin came off the bench for six points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Player of the game goes to Pratt's Nya Mach. Mach came off the bench to lead all scorers with 25 points, four rebounds and an assist. She went 5-9 from beyond the three point arch and was a perfect 2-2 from the free throw line.

PCC women's basketball heads home to the Dennis Lesh Sports Arena for a game against Garden City Community College on Feb. 14. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
