PCC women's basketball loses to Butler CC

Pratt Community College women's basketball traveled to El Dorado, Kan. for a matchup against Butler Community College. Scoring woes in the second period cost the Beavers against Butler. PCC loses to Butler 41-61.

The offense for the Blue and White relied on the long range shot against Butler. Channa Parvin led the starters with 12 points, a steal and an assist. She was 4-9 from three point range and 4-11 from the field. Coming off the bench, Mackenzie Anderson matched Parvin in scoring with 12 points and a rebound. Anderson was 4-7 from beyond the arch and 4-8 from the field. Dakota Smith played a gritty game in the post with 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Player of the game goes to Butler's Morgan Littlewood with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.

PCC women's basketball returns to the Dennis Lesh Sports Arena for the final home games of the 2017-18 season. The Beavers will first face Barton Community College on Feb. 21. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
