PCC softball faces Rose State College in a double header

The Pratt Community College softball team hit the road for Midwest City, OK and a double header against Rose State College. Pratt ran into a heavy hitting Rose State team that was hot at the plate for both games of the double header. PCC falls in both games going 0-2 for the double header.

Rose State opened up the scoring in Game 1 with three runs in the third. The Blue and White answered with a run of their own in the top of the fourth. With two outs Marisa Jonas stepped to the plate and blasted the ball over the center field fence. PCC trailed 1-3 heading into the bottom of the fourth. Rose State added three runs to their lead in the fifth and a run in the sixth to secure the win in the first game. Pratt falls to Rose State 1-7 in Game 1.

At the plate MaKenzie Anderson, Jonas, and Lynsey Loomis led the way for the Beavers. All three batters went one for three at the plate. Anderson had a double for her hit. Player of the game goes to Torah Madron of Rose State who finished two for three at the plate with two runs.

The bats did not cool off for Rose State in Game 2. Rose State took an early lead and relied on their defense to take the victory. PCC loses to Rose State 0-13.

Anderson, Jonas, and Courville mounted the offense for the Blue and White in Game 2. Anderson went one for three at the plate. Jonas and Courville both finished one for two at the plate.

Player of the game goes to Bri Dow of Rose State. Dow went a perfect three for three in Game 2 with two runs and an RBI.

PCC softball continues the four game road stand with a double header against Seward County Community College on March 7. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
