PCC softball clashes on the road with Seward CC

Pratt Community College softball concluded their four game road trip in Liberal, Kan. with a double header against Seward County Community College. The Beavers ran into the high powered offense of Seward County and could not match the scoring onslaught of Seward. PCC gets swept by Seward CC 0-2 in the double header.

The Blue and White fell behind Seward in the second inning of Game 1. Pratt tried to rally, but ran into Monique Ashley of Seward who threw for a no hitter in the game. PCC loses 0-19.

After the first inning of Game 2, Seward took the lead. The Beavers tried coming back thanks to a Marisa Jonas home run in the second. Seward countered with more runs in the second and secured the win. PCC falls in Game 2 2-10.

Jonas and Katie Otto led the offense for the Blue and White in Game 2. Jonas finished the game going one for two at the plate with a run and an RBI. Otto ended the game one for two at the plate with a run.

Player of the game goes to Seward's Madeline Owen who went a perfect three for three at the plate with three RBIs and two runs.

PCC softball returns to Angood Field on March 9 for a double header against Barton Community College. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
