PCC softball faces road test against Dodge City CC

On March 26, PCC softball hit the road for a double header with Dodge City CC. Game 1 saw the Blue and White fall behind early as the Dodge City offense capitalized on a big first inning. Pratt cut into the lead with runs in the fourth, but late scoring by Dodge City secured the win. PCC falls 3-11. The second game was a battle between the Beavers and Dodge City. Pratt took an early 2-0 lead in the first, but Dodge City claimed the lead by the third. The Blue and White tied the game at 6-6 in the sixth. With a runner on second in the bottom of the seventh, Dodge City got a walk-off base hit to drive in the winning run. PCC falls in a heartbreaker 7-8.    

Schuller ended the first game one for two at bat with a run. Michelle Castillo finished one for three at the plate with a run. Lyndsey Loomis batted one for three with an RBI.

In the final game of the Dodge City double header the Beavers had 12 hits. Anderson was a perfect three for three at the plate with a run and an RBI. Bryant batted three for four with a run. Byers finished two for three at the plate with two RBIs and a run.

PCC softball returns to Angood Field on March 28 for a double header against Colby Community College. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. with the second game following around 4 p.m.
