PCC winter sports student athletes named to KJCCC all-conference teams

The Jayhawk Conference has announced the award winners for the 2017-18 winter sports. Several Pratt Community College student athletes were selected as some of the best athletes in the KJCCC.

Nick Lucas was selected to the second team KJCCC for wrestling. Lucas was an NJCAA national qualifier this past season at 165lbs. At nationals, Lucas was one round away from qualifying as a NJCAA all-american. Lucas finished his freshman season at PCC with a record of 15-4 with 10 pins and two tech falls. 

Jaylon Wilson was selected as a men's basketball KJCCC all-conference honorable mention. The sophomore guard was an iron man for the Beavers this season averaging 31 minutes per game. Wilson shot 46 percent, 34 percent from beyond the three-point arch and 82 percent from the free throw line. Averaging 14 points per game, Wilson scored 443 points for the Blue and White. Wilson came down with 117 rebounds, had 67 assists and 34 steals.

Channa Parvin was selected as a KJCCC all-conference honorable mention in women's basketball. The sophomore guard averaged 24 minutes per game. Parvin shot 32 percent from the field, 34 percent from three-point range and 76 percent from the free throw line. This season Parvin scored 193 points. She also had 62 rebounds, 38 assists and 15 steals.
