PCC softball faces Seward CC on Sophomore Day

Pratt Community College softball returned to Angood field for a double header, Sophomore Day matchup with Seward County Community College. The Beavers fell behind early in the first game, but rallied to tie things up at 4-4 in the fifth inning. Seward added runs in the sixth and seventh to take the first game. PCC falls 4-15. Seward came out in the second game to grab an early lead. Pratt tied things up in the second and took the lead in the third. A rally by Seward in the seventh allowed them to steal the lead and the win. PCC drops a heartbreaker 6-14.

In game one, Tymarra Bryant batted a perfect three for three for the Blue and White with one run and one RBI. Kelie Byers followed hitting three for four with a run and an RBI. Michelle Castillo finished the game two for four with two RBIs and a run.

Katie Otto led the Beavers at the plate in game 2. Otto hit two for three with three RBIs and two runs. Makenzie Anderson went two for four with an RBI. Bryant finished two for four with a run. Kaylan Garcia batted one for two with a run and an RBI.

PCC softball returns to Angood Field for the final time for the 2018 season with a double header against Garden City Community College on April 11. First pitch is at 2 p.m. with the second game starting around 4 p.m.
