Late Night in the Lesh a go for October 23

PRATT, Kans.- Basketball season is upon us, and there's no better way to meet the men and women of Beavers basketball than by attending the third annual Late Night in the Lesh.

The event, taking place immediately following volleyball's 6:30 PM match against #3 Seward County on Wednesday, October 23, will serve as an introduction for the upcoming basketball season, as well as a chance to honor the accomplishments of PCC's fall sports programs.

“This is a great opportunity to first come out and support our volleyball team and then stay for the introductions of our women’s and men’s basketball teams," said athletic director Tim Swartzendruber. "We are also recognizing our men’s and women's soccer teams, as well as our cross country team. The Late Night event will be fun and will engage our fans. I hope to see a great crowd Wednesday!”

Both basketball teams will be acquainted to the crowd by their respective coaches and participate in limited scrimmages. The men will entertain the fans in the stands with a dunk contest, while players from both the men's and women's teams are scheduled to test their skills in a mixed-gender shooting competition. Students in the Beaver Dome will have the opportunity to take part in such activities as "The Beaver Drill", with a three-on-three game scheduled to kick off the festivities.
