Pratt Community College is excited to announce the hiring of Abbi Munson as the next head women’s flag football coach. Coach Munson has been busy this summer recruiting and putting together a team for the upcoming academic year.
“I am excited to have Abbi Munson onboard,” said athletic director Larry Johnston. “Her experience at the community college level and dedication to recruitment will take our program to the next level.”
Coach Munson comes to PCC having served as the head women’s flag football coach at Fort Scott Community College from April 2023 to this past June. During her one season coaching the Greyhounds the team finished 7-7 and 3-4 in conference play including wins over Kansas Wesleyan University, Graceland University, St. Mary’s University, Bryant and Stratton College and Pratt.
“I am looking forward to building a successful program on and off the field by bringing in the right athletes that have both an academic and athletic mind,” said Coach Munson. “My goals for the 24-25 academic year: immerse myself and team into the Pratt Community College culture to truly become Beavers, have the first ever winning season, have a team GPA of 3.2, and a 100% graduation rate.”
In addition to her collegiate experience, coach Munson has affiliations with several professional organizations including USA Football, National Alliance for Youth Sports, Piedmont Youth Football, Indian Nation Football Conference, and the Women’s Football Alliance. In addition, coach Munson was a member of the 2022 national champions Oklahoma City Lady Force.
