Beavers Prepare for a Weekend Series Against the T-Birds.

Pratt, Kan.- Pratt Community College (PCC) is set to face the Cloud County Community College (CCCC) T-Birds in a Saturday and Sunday four-game series. The T-Birds will host Pratt on Saturday, March 19 at Lee Doyen Field. First pitch is set for 1:00 pm. The Beavers will then host Cloud County the following day on Sunday, March 20 at Stanion Field. First pitch is set for 1:00 pm.

Beavers looking to build off of their win last Sunday, March 13 in game four against the Barton Cougars 18-11.

Beavers will look to play clean baseball at home against Cloud County. Last Saturday, March 12 the Beavers had 10 errors with six coming in game one against Barton.

Mitchell Smith continues his dominance at the plate with a .481 average, 37 hits, 5 homeruns and 35 RBIs.

As a pitching unit the Beavers are averaging a 5.93 ERA in 153.1 innings pitched with 153 strikeouts.

Caleb Cude is back in the starting rotation and over two games has a 1.29 ERA with only four hits and 11 strikeouts.

Devon Nicholson has been solid behind the plate with 116 putouts with 7 assists and only 2 errors.

Cason Long continues his streak as a two-way player for the Beavers. Long is hitting .359 with 23 hits, 17 RBIs, and four homeruns. On the mound Long has a 2.08 ERA giving up 16 hits with 35 strikeouts.

Scouting the T-Birds   

They were nationally ranked last week and are currently receiving votes in the national poll.  

In the past five games they are 1-5 and enter this weekends series with on a three-game losing streak.

Cloud County averages .352 with 211 hits, 29 home runs, and 195 RBIs. Kolden Howerton leads the team with 16 hits and 21 RBIs in 36 plate appearances.  

The pitching unit for the T-Birds has a combined 4.20 ERA with 220 strikeouts. Both Giordano Mezzomo and Connor Woods lead the team with 2 wins and having an ERA under 2.00.
