Pratt, Kan.- The Pratt Community College (PCC) Beavers are prepared to face the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) Cavaliers for a four-game series this week. The Beavers will host the Cavaliers on Thursday, March 31 at Stanion Field. Pratt will travel to Johnson County on Saturday, April 2 to finish the series.

Beavers are currently on a seven-game losing streak and will take the week off from playing KJCCC opponents to face Johnson County.
Beavers are only 5-7 at home in Stanion Field, but hold a 9-9 record on the road this season.
Sophomore Mitchell Smith is still dominating in the batter's box this season with a .447 average with 46 hits, 43 RBIs, and six homeruns. Smith splits time in the outfield and on first base and so far, this season has 75 putouts and 12 assists,
Cason Long has pitched 35 innings over five appearances with two starts thus far this season. He currently has a 1.80 ERA with a 10.80 strikeout ratio over nine innings.
As a pitching unit, the Beavers have an ERA of 6.43 with a strikeout ration of 8.21 over nine innings.

The Cavaliers were ranked #17 in the NJCAA preseason poll. They have received votes for the national poll off and on the season.
The Cavaliers enter this week's series having split with Fort Scott Community College (FSCC) over the past week and defeating Metropolitan Community College (MCC) 7-4 on Monday.
Johnson County is sitting at 21-8 overall and a 9-3 conference record. They are 4-2 on the road and 16-6 at home.
As a team the Cavs are hitting .337 with 29 homeruns. Freshman Collin Brueggemann is leading the team with a .402 average with 24 RBIs and seven homeruns.
The pitching unit for Johnson County has a combined ERA of 4.26 with a strikeout ratio of 11.92 over nine innings.
