Ken Kepley Named Interim Head Women's Flag Football Coach

Pratt Community College is excited to announce that Ken Kepley will serve as the Interim Head Women's Flag Football Coach. Coach Kepley has served at Pratt for 11 years as the Head Wrestling Coach. 

During his tenure, he produced 4 National Champions with 5 Individual National Championships, including the school’s first two-time NJCAA National Champion, Michael Spangler, in the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 season. In the 2021-2022 season, the Beavers had added to their National Champions list with Jacob Mitchell winning the 141lb. weight class and the school’s first ever three time NJCAA All-American, three time NJCAA National Finalist and one time NJCAA National Champion, Jacob Beeson. Under Coach Kepley, the Beavers have produced 23 out of the 34 NJCAA All-Americans in the school’s history, along with a Kansas Jayhawk Community College Championship in 2021, 2022 & 2023, a Runner-Up finish at the NJCAA South Central District Tournament following the 2021-2022 regular season, and numerous placements within the NJCAA top-20 national rankings including a 4th place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament in 2021 and a 9th place finish in 2022, which are all the highest in the school’s history. 

“I am most thankful that Coach Kepley has agreed to lead our inaugural women’s flag football team this spring. He is a highly successful coach and will do a great job with our women," said Athletic Director Tim Swartzendruber. "We are excited about adding this emerging sport and believe Pratt will be a great destination for future women’s flag football players.”
