The Pratt Community College men's basketball team challenged Southwestern College Junior Varsity for a late-night matchup in the Dennis Lesh Sports Arena. The Beavers hosted the Moundbuilders for their third consecutive game at home. Pratt overcame Southwestern in the end for a final score of 99-55.

The first half was a favorable one for PCC. The blue and white managed to head into the second period holding a 15-point lead. Pratt continued their theme of efficient scoring in the last half by earning nearly double the amount of points that the Moundbuilders produced.

Guard Teddy Fifer III broke out and scored 34 points. Being on the floor for 37 minutes made him a pivotal part of the Beavers' success. The sophomore shot an even 50 percent from downtown, making 6-of-12 shots from deep. He also led the way defensively with a game-high seven steals, many of which led to fast-break buckets.

Pratt crashed the glass for a noticeable difference on the box score. The Beavers outrebounded Southwestern 48-28 during the contest. Forward Demarcus Fisher was the leading rebounder for his team with nine boards. Fifer was also able to grab eight rebounds of his own.

PCC was the winner in many comparable team statistics including assists, and field goal percentage. An overall well-rounded performance helped to put them over the top and secure the third-straight win to start the season.

PCC men's basketball will return to action against Spring Creek Academy on Nov. 10. The Beavers will look to continue their win streak starting at 2 p.m.
