Beavers win fourth-consecutive game after 96-59 victory

PRATT, Kans.- Following an opening road trip to Ottumwa to start the 2019-20 season, Coach Flynn's group has settled into a winning groove at the Beaver Dome.

With a 96-59 win earlier this evening against Bethany College (JV), the Beavers have now four-consecutive games at the Beaver Dome, with the usual suspects raising eyes on the stat sheet. Redshirt sophomore Jamel Horton had a career-day, scoring 26 points while boosting the Beavers every which way. Coincidentally, Horton snagged seven rebounds to go with seven assists, and was a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line.

Julian Eziukwu posted his third-consecutive double-double, as the big-bodied freshman wore down an undersized Swedes team with 18 points and 15 rebounds. He was 8-10 from the field. Sophomore Zool Kueth continued his hot-streak, scoring 20 points on 9-16 shooting, adding six boards with an assist, block and steal each. Sophomore Drew Honas was the other Beaver to finish the night in double-figures, as the slick-shooting guard's night was highlighted by a pair of triples.

The Beavers outscored the Swedes 30-2 in second chance opportunities, naturally dominating the battle underneath the rim in terms of points in the paint (46-26). Pratt returns to action on Monday night against Redlands Community College, two teams that met earlier this season on November 6, with the Beavers grabbing a dominating road win 97-72.
