Men's Basketball Cruises to 124-56 Win

PRATT, Kan.- It's been a handful of days between this evening and Monday night's crushing, buzzer-beating loss at home against Redlands Community College. Tonight, the Beavers did everything they could to put the loss in the rearview mirror.

Pratt put the pedal to the metal from the tip to the final buzzer, winning by a score of 124-56. Redshirt sophomore Jamel Horton hasn't lost the magic touch, posting a 12-13-13 line, his first triple-double as a Beaver. Drew Honas and Tommy Thomas led the Beavers in scoring, with both adding 17 points to Pratt's 124-point effort. Honas was 4-9 from deep, while Thomas did well to get to the rim and create for himself.

Sophomore Zool Kueth was an efficient 8-9 with his shot attempts, scoring all 16 points from the field. Sophomore James Burns shot 70 percent en route to a 15-point night, while sophomore Deontae Davis was 3-5 from beyond the arc, the main source of his 13 points.

Following a dysmal long-distance shooting night against Redlands Community College, the Beavers recovered on Friday night, shooting 40 percent (14-35). As a team, Pratt was 49-85 from the field (58 percent).

Next, the Beavers will welcome Allen County Community College to the Beaver Dome with a pre-Thanksgiving matchup on Wednesday, November 27. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 PM.
