Pratt men's basketball emerged victorious against Colby Community College on Dec. 6 with a final score of 87-75. In the first half, Pratt took an early lead, outscoring the Trojans 43-29. The Beavers were outscored in the second half, scoring 44 points compared to Colby's 46. Pratt was able to stop the Trojans from closing the gap and secured a 12-point victory.
For the Beavers, Jarrett Dingle was the top scorer with 23 points, including five three-pointers. Caleb Smith also had an impressive performance, scoring 19 points. Leading the scoring for Colby was Maxence Massadila with 15 points. Marko Malekinusic contributed a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had similar rebounding numbers, with the Trojans securing 32 rebounds and Pratt grabbing 31. In terms of assists, Pratt had the edge with 19 assists compared to Colby's 15.
This win improves the Beavers record to 4-6 overall and 2-4 in conference play. Pratt will travel to Independence, Kan. to face the Pirates for their final game of 2023. Tip-off is set for 4:00 PM.
