In a game on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, the Pratt Community College Beavers traveled to Dodge City, Kan. to face the Conquistadors of Dodge City Community College. The Conquistadors emerged victorious over Pratt in a close game with a final score of 87-84.  

The first half of the game saw Pratt take an early lead, scoring 37 points compared to Dodge City's 48. Pratt's Davonte Russ and TJ Nunnery were instrumental in their team's offensive efforts, with Russ scoring 17 points and Nunnery contributing 13 points. However, Dodge City's Avnoor Bhullar and Chevalier Emery quickly closed the gap, scoring 22 points each in the first half. 

The second half of the game was a back-and-forth battle between the two teams. Pratt fought hard to catch up to Dodge City's lead, scoring 47 points in the second half. Zion Cruz of Pratt was particularly impressive, scoring 19 points in the game. However, Dodge City managed to maintain their lead, scoring 39 points in the second half, and securing the win. Both teams displayed strong shooting percentages, with Dodge City shooting at 44.8% overall and Pratt shooting at 54.8%.  

Up next for the Beavers is a home matchup against Hutchinson Community College on Wednesday, Feb. 7 in the Beaver Dome. Tip is set for 7:30 PM
