Beaver Soccer Gets Clean Sweep In Nebraska

Beatrice, Neb. – The Pratt Community College soccer teams traveled to Beatrice, Neb. yesterday, October 5 to take on the Southeast Community College Storm. The women's team kicked off at 2:00 pm followed by the men's team at 4:00 pm.

The women's soccer team were able to continue their undefeated conference record against the Storm winning the game 2-0. Both goals were scored in the second half with goal one coming at the 78:00-minute mark of the game. Sophomore Gabrielle Chavez was credited with the goal while freshman Leticia Tessi had the assist. Tessi added a goal of her own at the 81:00-minute mark with goalie Jade Massing contributing the assist.

On the men's side, the Beavers were able to avenge their 4-2 loss back on September 14 by beating the Storm 3-1. Southeast struck first in the game and lead 1-0 at halftime. The Beavers would tie the game off a direct kick by freshman Gustavo Dias Juliani. A few minutes later, the team took a 2-1 lead off a goal by freshman Gabriel Dias Juliani with an assist from his brother Gustavo. Sophomore Gustavo Lira added the final goal of the day to make it 3-1 off an assist by Joao Neves Santos.

Conference rival Allen County Community College will visit Pratt, KS next Wednesday, October 12 for the Beavers last regular season matchup at home. Game times are set for 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM at the Pratt Soccer Complex.
