Pratt Announces 2022 Men's Soccer Schedule

Pratt, Kan. – Pratt Community College (PCC) and Head Coach Kevin Kewley are excited to announce the 2022 Men’s Soccer schedule. The Beavers will face seven non-conference opponents before kicking off the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) schedule on September 14.

The season will kick off on August 13 with a scrimmage against Cowley College (CC) in Arkansas City, KS. The team will open their home schedule with back-to-back games on August 26 and August 27. They will play Northern Oklahoma College- Tonkawa (NOCT) on the 26 and Otero College (OC) on the 27.

The Beavers will play two JV teams in non-conference play with the first being McPherson College (JV) on August 29 and Oklahoma Panhandle State University (JV) on September 10. In between those two matches, they will travel to Garden City, KS to face the Broncbusters of Garden City Community College (GCCC). Finally, the team will travel to Neosho County Community College (NCCC) to kick off October in the middle of conference play.

KJCCC play starts at home on September 14 against Southeast Community College (SCC) from Beatrice, NE starting at 4:00 pm. A week later, the Beavers will visit rival and conference runner-up Allen County Community College (ACCC) on Wednesday, September 21. The team will play all four conference opponents in a home and away series with conference play wrapping up on October 19 with a trip to Hesston College (HC).

The men’s soccer team will return over ten players from last season’s roster including two who received post season conference honors. Joao Neves Santos was named to the All-KJCCC First Team with Rory O’Connor receiving an honorable mention selection.

Pratt finished 9-7 overall and 5-3 in conference play last season. The team won the Division II KJCCC conference championship and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region VI championship. They advanced to the NJCAA Plains District Championship match in Burlington, IA against Southeastern Community College. Unfortunately, the team ended their season with a 2-0 loss in the match.
