Beavers Pick Up Two Shut Out Wins To Start Conference Play 2-1

The Pratt Community College men's soccer team finished last week, September 9-14 with two shutout wins against Allen County Community College and Hesston College. The Red Devils from Allen County were receiving votes in the national poll as of last week. The two wins helped the Beavers get off to a 2-1 start in conference play.  

The Beavers will travel to Fort Hays State University on Monday, Sep. 16 for a non-conference game before heading up to Beatrice, Neb. on Wednesday, Sep. 18 to face Southeast Community College for their next conference matchup.  

Allen Co. Recap 

In a match between the Beavers and Allen County Community College on September 11, 2024, Pratt emerged victorious with a final score of 3-0. Pratt's goals were scored by Liuz Felipe Borin, Tayo Adedoja, and Liam Donoghue. Borin found the back of the net twice, with assists from Adedoja and Donoghue. Adedoja also contributed a goal, assisted by Colm Rutledge. 

Hesston Recap  

Pratt dominated Hesston College in a soccer match on September 14, 2024, with a final score of 4-0. The game, held in Pratt, Kansas, saw Pratt Community College's Tomas Pareira Men, Jack Hopkins, Tayo Adedoja, and Brenno Rodriquez scoring goals, with assists from Freddie Fenton, Adedoja, Hopkins, and Gustavo Fornari Varn. 

Hesston College struggled to find the back of the net, with Pratt Community College's goalkeeper Andres Ballaster Martinez making five saves to secure the shutout. Hesston College's goalkeeper Regan Goodison faced 14 shots on goal and made 10 saves.
