Beavers Close Season Against Hutchinson

Pratt, KS – The Pratt Community College (PCC) softball team will host the Hutchinson Community College (HCC) Blue Dragons for sophomore day on Saturday, April 30. Game time is set for 1:00 pm at the Green Sports Complex. Here are five things to get you set for this weekend's matchup.   

  1. Last Time Out: The Beavers hosted the Seward County Saints last Saturday, April 23 at the Green Sports Complex. In game one, the Saints won 13-5 in a short five inning game. In game two, the Beavers came to play as the game was tired 3-3 heading into the seventh inning. The Saints were able to bring across three runs and win 6-3.
  2. Beavers Show Improvement: In the month of April the Beavers have competed in every series and picked up two wins. One came against North Platte and another against Northwest Tech. The Beavers have continued to improve by cutting down errors, bringing home runners in scoring position, and pitching has continued to improve.
  3. Sophomore Day: This is the final series of the season for the Beavers. Therefore, the team will host a recognition ceremony for the sophomores. It will be held in between games on Saturday afternoon.
  4. Last Time Against Blue Dragons:  Pratt traveled to Hutchinson, KS back on March 26 to take on the Blue Dragons in a two-game series. Hutch won both games with scores of 8-0 and 9-0.
